As partner at McGinn, Carpenter, Montoya & Love, PA, based out of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Kathleen “Kathy” Love represents the “Davids against the Goliaths” in medical malpractice, catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases. Kathy Love stays active within her field and belongs to several noteworthy industry organizations, including the New Mexico Trial Lawyers Association & Foundation (NMTLA). She is the president-elect for the 2015 through 2016 term.
The NMTLA aims to preserve the rights of clients by providing resources to law practices and safeguarding the right to a trial by jury. The resources include insights and experiences shared by colleagues as well as up-to-date publications and legal research databases.
In addition, the NMTLA has a Committee on Individual Responsibility (COIR). This political action committee consists of lawyers who support fair laws and legal systems, both of which protect the rights of injured citizens. As of 2015, the NMTLA offered three levels of contribution, including the Century Club, the COIR Club, and Roll of Honor. Contributions for the Century Club are $200 per month; the COIR Club, $125 per month; and Roll of Honor, $75 per month. Ms. Love belongs to the COIR Club.
